Welcome

Thank you for taking the time to browse my website. I have lots to share with you. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about my passion.

You will find my Acrylic artwork that is currently available for sale. Some of these paintings are also available as Giclee prints (on canvas or watercolor paper) or on metal for outdoor decorating. Please contact me if you would like pricing on a certain piece in any size. I am also available to do commissioned work to your specifications.

I have been fortunate to learn from some very talented artists such as Gloria Kingma, Heather Pant, John Anderson and Wendy Gordon Forsyth (Pastel section). You will find an "inspired by" to acknowledge a painting I may have done in a workshop taught by one of these amazing artists.

My pastel section will have some pieces for sale but most of the paintings here were commissioned pieces and are here for you to see as samples if you are considering a pet portrait. Please contact me for information on how I can create an original painting of your pet.

I hope you enjoy my site and any feedback is greatly appreciated.

About Debbie

For as far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed creating art. It has been a passion that has always found a way of being a part of my life.

However painting is fairly new to me. I picked up my first acrylic paints in 2013 and have never looked back. I was fortunate at the time to hook up with a local art association where I have been able to learn from some amazingly talented and accopmplished artists. My most influential teacher has taught me the importance of developing my own style which led me to a "pixalated" type of technique that can be seen in many of my most recent works. I love the way the pixels interact with each other creating the shapes and shadows on the canvas.

Another new medium for me has been chalk pastels. Again with the encouragment of another amazing artist/teacher I have been creating with pastels. Mostly I love to do animals in pastel because of the way the pastels blend and capture the fine details that help present the life of the animal.  You will also find some colourful landscapes in my pastels.

I hope you enjoy this little glimpse into who I am as a proudly Canadian Artist.

Thank you for visiting
